1. Application and limitations of using geophysical methods in solving various types of geotechnical problems e.g. foundation, water supply, principle of geophysical well logging, case studies of the integrated geophysical techniques in solving engineering problems.
2. Introductory study of fundamental geology, for example physical geology, mineralogy, rocks, structural geology, geological processes, historical geology etc., including a study of important aspects of applied geology.
3. Applications of engineering geology in solving engineering problems , use of rock materials , analysis of slope stability , engineering geology practice and case histories.
